On posting.
HEEEEEY, You’re back. But I doubt it will be for long.
My hands still hurt from that long needed three-hour practice session on the driving range. Even that isn’t stopping me from writing this relatively lengthy reply. And this time, I’m intent on staying. Maybe give or take a few years, it’s still gonna be for an extensive period of time.
My productivity these days is questionable. Reviews haven’t started yet; I’m already pretty proficient on that new musical instrument I’ve been trying to learn. Save for some pretty rare chances to get onto the fairway, I’m basically idle all day long. Some days, I’d even go so far as to pretend to be busy by going invisible at certain intervals just to seal the illusion that I’ve got far better things to do than sit in front of a screen all day.
But I do. As mentioned previously, the monotonous cycle of refreshing pages, staring blankly for minutes and repeating the same routine is a harsh reality I have to live through each day; a ‘mental rut’ if you could call it that. Consistently, I’ve always placed the first comment in each goodbye post on the class blog. I’ve pretty much mapped the update times of xkcd, Cracked.com and Nedroid to the minute; Wikipedia right down to the second (always updates five seconds past eight, give or take two seconds.) From this, it’s not too obvious that I have a lot of time on my hands.
Going back, it’s been a while since I last logged into tumblr (a good four months, in fact.) and, as I see it, it’s the ‘best’ outlet for whatever I manage to get out of my head on a boring afternoon doing absolutely nothing. Long story short, here I am. Again.
I have my willpower. Let’s just hope that when I do find something else to devote my time to, I won’t shamelessly drop tumblr like nothing happened (just like the first few times.); that I’m drawn in for good.
